EXO’s Kris Asked for Contract Termination
Sina, a Chinese media source, earlier reported that EXO-M‘s Kris has asked his agency, SM Entertainment, for early termination of his exclusive contract.
Report from Sina says: Kris has filed a lawsuit to end his contract. There have been rumors since a month ago that Kris was going to end his contract. It is surprising and sad that a member will leave the group after two successful first years. His circumstances are similar to former Super Junior member Hangeng.
According to Sina's investigation, reasons why Kris wanted to terminate his contract are restriction of SM Town to family interaction and his position as the rapper of EXO-M. It was said the Kris has more other interests and loves to act. It was also said that in April, Kris started to become unhappy and not fit with the other members of the boy group.
Kris., real name Wu Yi Fan, was selected as a trainee in 2007 through SM Entertainment's Global Audition in Gwangzhou, China. He is currently the leader of EXO subgroup EXO-M.
A representative from SM Entertainment, on the other hand, told OSEN news, “We are currently looking into this situation and we are quite embarrassed. We are putting every effort into making sure EXO‘s activities are going well.
OSEN further reported that Kris hired a law firm to represent him in this contract termination.
